cofaidh, ceòl is cabadaich

Coffee, music and chat : every second Saturday we open up the kitchen from 2 to 4pm, for tea, coffee, baking and soft drinks. This is a social afternoon providing a welcoming ambience for Gaelic- speakers, learners and anyone with an interest in the language to get together with a cup of good coffee and just enjoy the music and the craic . And of course it provides a safeencouraging space to chat in or just try out your Gaelic!

Everything is free, but feel free to give a donation! There is live music from local musicians, We offer the opportunity to play or sing to our younger Gaelic-speaking players in particular.( Ma tha ionnstramaid is Gaidhlig agad, is uidh agad ann a bhith a cluich aig CCC, nach cuir thu post-dealain gu susanne@cultarlann.scot, Gheibh thu paigheadh air a shon!).

We have a Children’s craft table, usually with a topical theme (the seasons, festivals etc). We often have other events/ themes at the same time such as live poetry reading, a book launch, book sale or a handicrafts day, wreath-making, for example. The session often finishes with a sing-song, led by our very own, in house songsters; Fonn fonn fonn.

Tha Cofaidh, ceol is cabadaich a’ cordadh gu mor ris a h-uile duine a thig ann. Tha e beothail, blath is sporsail. Gheibh thu failte is fuaran ann. Bidh sinn a’ feitheamh ort!
